ClipKeep Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ClipKeep mobile application (“ClipKeep”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. ClipKeep is a free app that lets you paste a link to a publicly available video and save that video to your device.

In short: ClipKeep does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. We do not have servers that receive your data, and the app contains no ads, analytics or tracking.

1. Information we do not collect

ClipKeep does not require an account and does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number or other contact details
• Your location
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics, crash reports or behavioral data
• Your contacts, photos or other files

2. Information stored only on your device

• Download history: the links you paste, video titles, thumbnails and file locations are kept in a local database on your device so you can view your history. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
• Downloaded videos: videos are saved to your device’s gallery / photo library.

You can delete history entries inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local database. Videos already saved to your gallery stay there until you delete them.

3. How the app uses the internet

When you paste a link and tap download, the app connects directly from your device to the website the link points to (for example TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X or Threads) and to that platform’s content servers to fetch the video. Only the information needed to make this request is transmitted, such as the link itself and standard technical data that any internet connection sends (like your IP address). These platforms handle that data under their own privacy policies. ClipKeep does not route your requests through our own servers.

4. Permissions

• Internet: to download videos from the links you provide.
• Photos / Storage (only on older Android versions and on iOS): to save downloaded videos to your gallery. The app does not read your existing photos or files.

5. Third-party services

ClipKeep does not include third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads or any other platform.

6. Children’s privacy

ClipKeep does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is collected, none is stored or shared.

7. Your responsibility

Please download only content you own or have permission to save, and respect the copyright and privacy of content creators.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
